The Band

Red Beans & Rice is a Monterey Bay based blues band specializing in up-tempo danceable blues forms. Since the band’s debut in 1993, their blend of Chicago, Texas swing, Louisiana, contemporary and original music has garnered them numerous awards. Performing throughout the West Coast at various Festivals and venues, Red Beans & Rice has shared the stage with some of the greats in blues and has released four self-produced albums containing their unique original compositions as well as some covers of lesser known classics.

A hearty basic meal, Red Beans & Rice is served throughout the South in a variety of ways. The dish can be best described as a “spicy Southern staple”. So it is with the music of Red Beans & Rice. A Southern staple served in a variety of spicy ways.
